How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
You don't need a professional ring sizer to get the right fit. With nothing more than a ruler and/or a piece of string, or a ring you already own — you can measure your ring size at home in under a minute. Measure in millimetres, enter the number in the calculator below, and we'll convert it to your AU, UK, US and EU ring size instantly. For the most accurate result, measure at the end of the day when your fingers are at their warmest and largest.
- 1
Measure a ring you own
Take a ring that already fits the right finger. Lay a ruler across the inside of the band and measure straight across the middle (the diameter) in millimetres.
- 2
Or wrap a string
Wrap a piece of string or a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger. Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat against a ruler, and measure the length (the circumference) in millimetres.
Enter a measurement in millimetres to see your size.
Sizes are a close guide, not a guarantee — measure at the end of the day when fingers are warmest, and if you fall between sizes, size up. Still unsure? Message Clara on Etsy before ordering.
